Writing

Alice Hafer is an award-winning writer/director and outdoor journalist with a double MA in Creative Writing and Screenwriting. An outdoor journalist and essay writer, she has contributed to Climbing, Outdoors.com, Project Magazine, UKClimbing, Moja Gear, and more. A professional rock climber for 15 years, Alice has lived in over 12 countries and was a semi-finalist on HBO Max’s The Climb with Jason Momoa. She also founded Mind Strength Coaching to help others enhance their mindset and mental strength.

She has served as fiction and nonfiction editor for Story magazine and the TMCC Meadow, and as a freelance manuscript and script editor for individual clients.

Climbing

I’m Alice Hafer, I’m a writer, rock climber, (RYT-200) certified yoga teacher, and Performance Climbing Coach. I’ve been climbing for 15+ years and have worked in fitness and exercise for over 10 years.

I’ve climbed V11, 14a, 13a trad and 13a, 700m big wall outdoors and placed in multiple competitions including, 3rd in the USA Collegiate Climbing Series Championships and claiming Senior Female Blokfest Champion in London in 2016.

Starting my fitness career as a AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Yoga Instructor, I transitioned to climbing coaching.

I’ve coached workshops at women’s events for more than 3 years, including the UnLeashed Festival and Women’s Bouldering Festival, as well as supported brands at the WCF and Flash Foxy events.
